Prints

When I set out on my art journey, I wanted to make art accessible to all and that meant something for all budgets too! So I set to work learning the skills and technology needed to be able to scan and convert my artwork into digital files in order to make my own giclee prints right here in my studio. Everything is handmade by me and heartfelt too.

So what's different about a giclee print compared with a commercial art print? Well firstly it must be printed using high-quality pigment inks on specialist printers designed to do just that. The paper is really important too! It must be acid-free and generally has a heavier weight per square metre than standard papers. Commercial prints are mostly printed on photo quality paper which costs less and can reduce its lifespan. A giclee print will outlive us all if by following some very simple rules, its cared for properly.
