Learn

There's nothing I like more than helping others to learn! It's something I've always had a hand in driven by a desire to enable positive change. In my late teens, I ran a Sunday school for children. Since arriving here I've taught groups of Spanish children to speak English (what a rowdy and fun bunch they were too). In my previous career in a large corporation one of my biggest joys was professional coaching and leadership development of adults, many in senior positions. Now as a watercolour artist, I'm here to help you too!

Whatever skill you are trying to learn, improve or develop, in this case, watercolour painting, it all boils down to dealing with that inner voice first and becoming more aware of the way you talk to yourself. Self-limiting beliefs or in other words, the things we say to ourselves which stop us from doing something can be a confidence killer and the biggest barrier to getting started.

Stopping any negative self-talk or unwelcome chatter can help unlock true potential. Combine this with some useful guidance, hints and tips on the how's from someone like me applied practically and you will build in confidence and create momentum. Positivity = energy = movement = change - from 'I can't possibly do it' all the way to 'I am doing it and I want more!!' How liberating does that sound? I can tell you first-hand, it is! I'm learning and growing all of the time as you will see when it comes to my technical capability making short demo videos for example!

Learning something new doesn't happen over-night. It takes practice, lots of practice coupled with the basic knowledge and skills you need to help you get there. Learning preferences vary. You might prefer to learn in your own time on-line or observe demonstrations. Perhaps you work better one to one, face to face or in a small group learning step by step over a concentrated period of time. Whatever your way is, you will find something here to help you from painting holiday escapes to simple, fast art demos.
