What do you put on the wall behind a 4ft metal frog playing the saxophone and bongo drums? This was my dilemma after purchasing 2 such frogs for the hallway in my new house. Having unsuccessfully scoured the internet to find something suitable, I contacted Catherine at Poco Loco Studios to ask if she could paint me something colourful, playful and interesting that would fit in with my lovely frogs. Having lots of boxes to unpack I just sent her a photo of the frogs and left her to it. I’m pleased to say, Catherine knew what I needed for my wall more than I did. After a few days she sent me over photos of some drawings she had done of the frogs - in various guises and I couldn’t have been more pleased. After a bit of “to and fro´ing” regarding colours I now have 3 beautiful, bespoke and unique watercolour paintings adorning my hall walls. Catherine produces the most beautiful pieces of art. I have commissioned two paintings of family pets and both bear a striking resemblance to the dogs; not only in image, but Catherine has captured their characters perfectly. Her style of painting is a delight, with layers of colour building depth and interest in the subject. I am absolutely delighted with the paintings; mine is displayed proudly at home and the other was a gift for my sister in America and she is equally delighted with her painting.
